With 99% of hen parties comes a theme! Whether it’s black dress and heels, 1920s flappers, ‘cop’ and robbers or pink ladies, some little thing to tie your group together is always a good idea, even if it’s only something small.
One of the current popular choices are floral crowns. For a boho chic look, something everyone can wear as little or as large as they want and it ties the group together. On a recent hen, I had to wear one so being as DIY mad as I am I made mine. Here’s how!
Firstly I took a trip to Penneys and picked up these cheap hair bands for €2.
Then I headed to a local discount store and got 3 bunches of artificial flowers for €6. I mixed and matched colours and flowers that I liked.
I pulled the heads off the stems began to place them along the headband. Then when I was happy with the layout I used my glue gun to stick them on. You can pick up a glue gun in any Woodies store around the country. I only glued flowers onto half of the headband.
As I had some headbands and flowers left, I made a garter for our hen which she actually wore on the night! I doubled over the headband and glued it and then added a few flowers.
In total it cost me €8 and about 30 mins. It’s also a great activity to do with your hens on the day and then wear your crowns that night.
Let me know if you make one!
Love from my world,
