This month’s Real Life Wedding is one that I was at! I met the bride when I was 4 and sat next to her on my first day of Primary School. When she walked up the aisle I bawled as you may have seen when I shared that pic on Facebook a while back. Here’s what Laura had to say about her & Johnny’s big day.

How did you find planning your wedding?
It was a lot of fun really. We started very early as we were engaged for quite a long time. We wanted the day to be really relaxed and to be able to enjoy it all so we put in a lot of preparation before-hand to ensure this.
Was your groom hands on?
We both planned everything together. Johnny took care of designing the invites and making the bookings such as the hotel/band/DJ. I organised the ceremony and obviously the more girly things like flowers, dresses, suits, decorations, etc. We also got a huge about of help and advice from the wedding party and our families. It was very much a team effort which was great when it all came together in the end. We felt proper proud of ourselves.
Favourite moment of the day?
We really didn’t expect it but the ceremony was one of our favourite parts. It was really special and personal, it was so great to see all our friends and family together. I thought I would be really nervous but once I got there I just enjoyed it all.
Were there any hiccups on the day of the wedding?
None at all.
Do you wish you had done anything differently? E.g. booked something earlier, different supplier, invited more/less, etc?
No, I was really happy with it all.
Anything unusual that you want to promote the supplier?
Christine Girault from La Spoon for the tier of macaroons. Edaein O’Connell who sang at the ceremony did an amazing job.
Thanks so much to Laura & Johnny for sharing their day with me.
Love from my world,
Lisa x
